As we approach August we head into the last month of winter. Lucky for the Gold Coast our winter days sit around 21 degrees Celsius and the sun shines brighter and the sky bluer then any other time of the year. There is no reason to rug up (some locals may disagree) cause its always warm where we are from. This August sees some exciting things happening on the GC and with out WINTER WARMER SPECIAL there is no excuse not to come visit for some in the sun! Book 2 nights or more and receive 20% the advertised room rate, with rooms starting from $95/night call or email us today! (07)55763211 ... email@example.com
August on the Gold Coast
Miami Shark Bar Rooftop Food Trucks - 29th July 2017
We know... this on is July! but ... definitely one of our favs as it is literally 3 mins walk form the Burleigh Gold Coast Motel we had to include it. A fun family friendly event with delicious food truck goodies, cool tunes and an all round vintage vibe, the Design Collective Markets, never disappoint with their events and we can assure you after numerous trials this one definitely wont! Try not to eat beforehand, there is sooooo much food!
Burleigh BBQ Championships - North Burleigh - 5th August 2017
Yep another fav cause its food and its walking distance. A fantastic annual event which sees some of Australia's best BBQ chefs battle it out to see who is crowned the best of the best. With live music, BBQ food trucks and kicking off from 3pm, definitely a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Did someone say ribs???!!!!

Tunes, cars, cool dudes and vintage chicks, the Rockabilly Retro Car Show oozes fun showcasing amazing old school delights. From 11-7pm its going to be a packed fun family day out!
Shakafest - Miami Tavern - 19th August 2017
Another local venue, this event is all about the music and skate boards. Kicking off from 12pm and finishing up a 10pm it is going to absolutely rock! Showcasing some amazing talent, Greenspoon is also making an anticipated appearance!
Don't forget the whales are still making a regular appearance as they migrate north and the GC hosts amazing local markets every single weekend.
