Twelve days later, the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 starts on the Surfers Paradise street circuit (23–25 October), the round that opens the Repco Supercars Finals. The Great Race is the finale of the Ryco Enduro Cup, and when the flag drops on Sunday 11 October, a lot of fans point the car north. Supercars recommends allowing extra time getting to and from Bathurst on race weekend, so build that into your first day on the road.
Past that, the drive is yours to shape. It's a long haul from the Central West to the southern Gold Coast, and with twelve days between rounds there's no reason to do it in one hit. One thing to set before you cross the border: New South Wales runs daylight saving in October and Queensland doesn't, so the Gold Coast is an hour behind Bathurst. Supercars publishes the Gold Coast 500 schedule in AEST.

Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500: 23–25 October 2026
Surfers Paradise hosts Round 12 of the Repco Supercars Championship and the first round of the Finals. Ten drivers start the weekend still in the title fight, and only seven are left after it.
The 2.96 km street circuit runs two 250 km races. On Supercars' track schedule (current as of 16 September 2026, AEST), Race 31 starts at 3:15pm on Saturday 24 October and Race 32 at 2:45pm on Sunday 25 October, each after a Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout. Practice gets underway on Friday 23 October.
Porsche Carrera Cup, SuperUtes and Aussie Racing Cars are listed as support categories.
Choose General Admission or a Grandstand seat. Kids 12 and under get free General Admission with a paying adult: one child per paying adult, on General Admission tickets only. A Paddock Pass takes you behind the scenes, and the Pit Lane Walk upgrade still needs a valid event ticket, with walk times to be confirmed closer to the event. Tram to the track from our corner
G:link trams now run all the way from Helensvale to Burleigh Heads, and Christine Avenue station sits on our corner of the Gold Coast Highway. Hop on heading north and leave the race-weekend parking hunt to someone else.
On the current timetable, trams from Christine Avenue reach the Surfers Paradise stations in about 20 to 30 minutes. Between Broadbeach South and Burleigh Heads, Translink runs trams every 7.5 minutes at peak times and every 10–30 minutes off-peak. Translink fares are 50 cents with a go card or contactless payment.
Check Supercars' event information for the gate closest to your seats, and look at Translink's event transport page in the week before the race for any race-weekend service changes. The 765 bus also stops on our corner.
Flying in to join the crew?
Not everyone makes the drive. If mates are flying in for race weekend, both airports connect to our corner by public transport.
From Brisbane Airport, take Airtrain to Helensvale and change to the G:link tram south to Christine Avenue.
