The Show N Shine is one of Australia's best. Over 900 classic cars, hot rods, kustom vehicles, muscle cars, scooters, and bikes line the streets of Coolangatta and Goodwin Park. Kustomville showcases lowbrow art and custom builds, plus car runs throughout the week.

Music

Rock and roll, swing, rockabilly — live bands across multiple stages all week. The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest is one of only three official Elvis Presley Enterprises preliminary rounds in Australia. The 2025 lineup includes Jay Dupuis and Ted Torres Martin from the USA, Toki from Japan, Che Orton from New Zealand, and Australia's Jack Gatto.

Lifestyle


Pin-up pageants, the Moonlight Swing Dance (1940s style), Beachside Rock and Roll Dance, and retro markets selling vintage goods, clothing, and memorabilia.

 

Getting to Coolangatta from Burleigh

By car: 25–30 minutes south via the Gold Coast Highway. Parking can be tight during the festival — arrive early or use park and ride options.

By bus: Route 700 stops close by and runs direct to Coolangatta. About 39 minutes, no transfers. Go Card fare is 50 cents per trip.

Coming soon: The new Christine Avenue transport hub is due for completion mid-July 2026, putting Burleigh Gold Coast Motel right in the heart of the Gold Coast transport network — tram, Routes 700 and 765, and airport bus 777 all at our door.
