Blues on Broadbeach returns Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 May 2027, and the dates are already confirmed on the festival's own site. That's the part worth acting on now. Broadbeach rooms over the festival weekend run $300 to $500 a night, and they go months out. We're 9km south in Miami, from $125, with the tram to the stages leaving from our corner.
If you left it late in 2026, don't do it twice. See our rooms.

Blues on Broadbeach 2027 — what's confirmed so far
Dates: Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 May 2027, across the Broadbeach precinct.
Cost: the main festival is free. Four days of live music across outdoor stages, parks, bars and venues. Kurrawa Park is the easiest place to start if you don't know the precinct.
Sunday Ticket: returning as a separate paid show at Kurrawa Park. It sold out in both 2025 and 2026, so watch for the presale.
Twelve Bar Society: the members' option — private bar, close stage access, artist sessions and a secret show. Also sold out in 2026.
Lineup: to be announced. Going by the last two years, the first names land around November, with a second announcement in autumn.
Weather: the festival's own guide puts May on the Gold Coast at an average high of 23.5°C and a low of 15.3°C. Sunny days, cool nights. Bring a jumper for the late sets.

What the 25th anniversary looked like
Blues on Broadbeach 2026 ran 14–17 May and marked 25 years. 76 international and Australian artists played across blues, soul, roots, funk and rhythm and blues, and organiser Experience Gold Coast reported tens of thousands of people filling the streets and venues over the four days.
The free stages carried Grammy winner Charlie Musselwhite in his first Blues on Broadbeach appearance, Ruthie Foster, Judith Hill, Robert Finley, MonoNeon, The Bamboos, The Lachy Doley Trio, and Ian Moss, back for his third appearance after playing the very first festival in 2002.
The Sunday Ticket closed it out at Kurrawa Park with The Teskey Brothers making their festival debut alongside Emma Donovan and Ash Grunwald. Sold out.
For context on how far it's come: the first festival in 2002 had two stages and around 5,000 people. Six hundred artists have played it since. It took Gold in the Major Festivals and Events category at the Queensland Tourism Awards ahead of the 25th anniversary staging.
Getting to Broadbeach — this changed in August
The old advice on this page was to catch the 700. It's out of date. G:link light rail now runs from our corner, after passenger services on the southern extension started on 9 August 2026.
The tram — the Christine Avenue stop is on the corner of the motel. Ride north to Broadbeach South and Broadbeach North, both an easy walk into the festival precinct. No changes, no transfers.
The fare — 50 cents a journey with a go card or contactless tap on and off.
Bus 765 — also stops on our corner.
Buses 700 and 777 — at Miami One, about 300m away. The 777 runs to Gold Coast Airport.
Don't drive in. Road closures go up across the precinct during the festival and Broadbeach parking fills early. Leave the car in our lot and tap on.
Timetables for the Christine Avenue stop are at ridetheg.com.au.

Book now for May 2027
We have 36 rooms. Festival weekends here typically fill four to six weeks out, and Blues on Broadbeach accommodation weekend goes earlier than that — it's one of the busiest weekends of the year on this stretch of coast, and now the tram makes staying south easier than it's ever been. More people have worked that out.
The dates are public. The lineup isn't. Book while both of those are still true.
