The Final Day of Cooly Rocks On 2026
Five days of vintage cars, rockabilly, Elvis tributes, and retro markets have taken over the beachside streets of Coolangatta. Today — Sunday 7 June — is the last chance to soak it all in.
For couples, it's one of those days you'll talk about for years. For solo travellers, Cooly Rocks On is the kind of festival where you walk in alone and leave with a story. The crowd is warm, the music is everywhere, and the cars are spectacular.

What's On Today
Motors — Show N Shine Nearly two kilometres of Coolangatta lined with over 900 classic cars, hot rods, kustom vehicles, and muscle cars presented by Autoglym. The 80s Zone showcases vehicles from 1980–1985 with the bold colour and flair of that decade. Kustomville brings the lowbrow art and custom builds.
Music Ezra Lee (boogie woogie piano), The Detonators (blues, rockabilly, rock and roll), plus free outdoor stages running all day. Tribute shows include Tusk – The Fleetwood Mac Tribute, The Bee Gees Revival, The Queen Rhapsody Tribute Show, and The Joe Cocker Express.
Elvis One of only two Australian festivals to host an official Elvis Presley Enterprises preliminary round — winner goes to Elvis Week in Memphis. Five artists in 2026: international performers Jimmy Holmes and
Taylor Rodriguez from the USA, plus Australians Jack Gatto (2025 contest winner), Charlie Gaylard, and Brendon Chase.
Lifestyle Pin-up Pageant, Moonlight Swing Dance (1940s style), Beachside Rock and Roll Dance, and retro markets selling vintage clothing, collectibles, and memorabilia across the precinct.

Getting to Coolangatta from Burleigh
By car: 25–30 minutes south via the Gold Coast Highway. Free parking at the motel.
By bus: Route 700 stops close by — check the temporary stop location before you head out. Direct to Coolangatta, no transfers. Go Card fare is 50 cents per trip.
