Sea World Carnivale is back for 2026. Five Saturday nights of light shows, live music, international food, and rides after dark.
If you are heading to the Gold Coast for Carnivale and need somewhere affordable to stay, Burleigh Gold Coast Motel is 20 minutes south of Sea World with free parking, a pool, and rooms from $145/night.

Sea World Carnivale transforms the park after dark. The main event is a water and light show on Sea World Lake - the biggest on the Gold Coast.
You will find four themed precincts to explore:
Mexico - vibrant colours and flavours. Love Mexican food? Try local Mexican spots on the Coast.
Rio - carnival dancers and music. Want more? Check out Brazilian Carnaval at Miami Marketta.
New Orleans - jazz and street food. Into blues and jazz? Blues on Broadbeach is another Gold Coast highlight.
Africa - drums and fire performances. Explore African restaurants on the Gold Coast.
Rides stay open after dark. There is a dolphin presentation, roving performers, and international street food throughout the park. Great for families - kids love seeing the park lit up at night.
Main Beach accommodation near Sea World is expensive, especially on event nights. Burleigh is 20 minutes south on the Gold Coast Highway and half the price.

By car: 20 minutes via the Gold Coast Highway. Head north through Miami, Mermaid Beach, Broadbeach, and Surfers Paradise. Sea World is at the northern end of the Spit.
Parking at Sea World: Available onsite but expect delays leaving after the event. Sea World recommends arriving early.
By bus: Route 700 from our doorstep to Broadbeach, then transfer to services heading to Main Beach. Takes about 45 minutes.
Carnivale finishes at 8:30pm - you will be back at the motel by 9pm. Sleep in the next morning, then hit Burleigh Beach for a swim.
