Affordable Gold Coast Accommodation — Miami, From $125
Planning a trip? See our rooms from $125/night.
Affordable Gold Coast accommodation is easy to advertise and hard to pin down, because the nightly rate is rarely the whole bill. We are a family-run 36-room motel at 1908–1910 Gold Coast Highway, Miami QLD — between Burleigh Heads to the south and Miami Beach to the north. Doubles start at $125/night, and Burleigh Beach is 200m from our door, straight down Sixth Avenue.
If you want the wider picture — beaches, theme parks, events, day trips — that all sits on our Gold Coast accommodation page. This post does one job: it shows you what a night here actually costs.

What's in every room
Every one of the 36 rooms includes a private ensuite, air conditioning, flat-screen TV with free-to-air channels, microwave, bar fridge, electric kettle, free Wi-Fi, fresh linen and towels, free toiletries, hair dryer and iron.
On site: an outdoor pool that is open all year and free for guests, a coin laundry, and reception from 9am to 7:30pm. Parking is a free outdoor carpark with no height restriction — one permit per room, subject to availability. Road-facing rooms have double-glazed windows on request, which is worth asking about with the highway and tram line outside.
Upper-floor rooms are the quietest. Ask when you book.
Where the money usually goes
Most Gold Coast trips blow out on the small things rather than the room. Three of them are cheap to fix from here.
Breakfast. Aldi is directly across the road and Paddock Bakery is 150m away, open from 6am. With a microwave, bar fridge and kettle in the room, a week of breakfasts costs about what two cafe feeds do.
Parking. Free here, with no height restriction, so a ute or a loaded roof box is not a problem. Street parking on Christine Avenue as well.
Getting around. Every Translink journey is a flat 50 cents on a go card or a contactless tap. A car-free day on the Coast costs a dollar return.
And plenty of the best days out here are free — the sand 200m down Sixth Avenue, the Oceanway, the lookout at the north end. We have written those up in free things to do in Burleigh.

Getting here without paying for a car
The Christine Avenue stop is on our corner, which is the main reason people manage a week here without hiring anything.
G:link and bus 765 — Christine Avenue stop on our corner. North to Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise, Southport and Helensvale (Airtrain change for Brisbane Airport). South to Burleigh Heads
Bus 700 — Tweed Heads ↔ Stockland Burleigh Heads. Does not stop at Miami and does not run north to Surfers. Ride G:link two stops south to Burleigh Heads, then 700 south to Currumbin and Coolangatta
Route 777 — Gold Coast Airport (Bilinga) ↔ Stockland Burleigh Heads only. Same transfer at Burleigh Heads. 777 is not a Coolangatta bus
Brisbane Airport — Airtrain to Helensvale, then G:link south to Christine Avenue. About two hours door to door
Fares — 50 cents a journey, go card or contactless tap on and off
Live times sit on the station and timetable pages, so we do not paste them here — they change.

Affordable, and still 200m from the sand
Cheap rooms usually mean a long drive to the water. Not here.
The sand 200m down Sixth Avenue is the north end of Burleigh Beach — North Burleigh SLSC and North Burleigh Lookout are at this end. About a two-minute walk. It is the same stretch of coast as the village, just our end of it.
We are not in Burleigh Heads village. James Street, Justins Park, Burleigh Head National Park and the G:link Burleigh Heads terminus are south of us — along the Oceanway, or two tram stops. Miami Beach is north. The address on the letterbox stays Miami QLD 4220.

Why we think the value stacks up
Named Best Budget-Friendly Accommodation in Burleigh Heads by Virgin Australia in their Where to Stay guide — an editorial pick, not a paid listing. 4.7 stars on Google from 977 reviews.
Midweek is where the real saving sits. Monday to Thursday the beach is quieter, the cafe queues are shorter, and you get the same room, the same pool and the same 200m walk without the weekend premium.
Couples, families, tradies and groups all end up here for the same reason — the rate is honest and the location does the work. The hub page has the full breakdown of who stays with us, and there are deeper guides for budget accommodation in Burleigh and Mermaid Beach, tradie accommodation and budget Gold Coast accommodation for 2026.
What we don't have
Worth knowing before you book, because it is part of why the rate is what it is.
No restaurant, no room service, no day spa, no gym, no concierge, and no beach views from the rooms. No kitchens or stoves — the microwave, bar fridge and kettle handle drinks and simple meals. No lift, so upper-floor rooms are stairs; ground-floor triples are available on request, subject to availability. No pets.
If you want a resort, the Coast has plenty. We put the money into a clean room, a working pool and a rate that does not need explaining.

Are there any hidden fees?
No resort fee, no booking-platform fee, and no charge for parking, the pool or Wi-Fi. The two extras to plan for are the $200 credit-card security deposit on arrival, refunded within 7 days subject to room inspection, and a 1.65% + $0.30 card surcharge. We take cash, Visa and Mastercard — no Amex.
How far is Burleigh Beach from the motel?
