Budget Accommodation Burleigh Mermaid Beach — From $125
Updated: 5 days ago
Planning both beaches on one stay? See our doubles from $125/night.
Budget accommodation Burleigh Mermaid Beach is what people search when they want the dining strip to the north and the surf to the south, without paying Surfers Paradise prices. The practical answer is Miami. We sit between the two, 200m from the north end of Burleigh Beach, with G:link on our corner for Mermaid Beach.
Budget accommodation Burleigh Mermaid Beach — stay in Miami
Burleigh Gold Coast Motel is at 1908–1910 Gold Coast Highway, Miami QLD 4220, corner of Christine Avenue. Address suburb is Miami. We are not in Burleigh Heads village and we are not in Mermaid Beach.
What that actually means for a stay:
South of us: Burleigh Heads village, James Street, Justins Park, Burleigh Head National Park — Oceanway, or two tram stops (Second Avenue, then Burleigh Heads).
Our end of the sand: Burleigh Beach, 200m straight down Sixth Avenue. North Burleigh SLSC and North Burleigh Lookout sit at this end, not the headland.
North of us: Miami Beach, Nobby Beach, then Mermaid Beach — ride G:link from the Christine Avenue stop on our corner and alight at Mermaid Beach or Mermaid Beach South.
Same Gold Coast Highway. Two different nights out. One room.
Paddock Bakery is 150m. Aldi is across the road. Microwave and bar fridge in every room, so breakfast does not have to be a cafe bill every morning.
Explore Mermaid Beach
Mermaid Beach is the quieter dining strip north of us — less Surfers, still close to Broadbeach. Couples use it for a romantic getaway night; everyone else uses it for coffee, tacos, and a walk that is not the same stretch of sand as this morning.

Getting to Mermaid Beach
G:link: from the Christine Avenue stop on our corner ride north. Alight at Mermaid Beach or Mermaid Beach South. Live times sit on that station page — do not screenshot a timetable.

Fares: 50 cents per Translink journey with a go card or contactless tap on and off.

Explore Burleigh Heads
The village is south, not out the front door.
